Sarah Gibson MP has submitted more written parliamentary questions in her first ten months in office than her predecessors, Conservatives, Michelle Donelan and James Gray.

Since being elected in July last year, the Liberal Democrat MP has submitted 201 written questions to the Government – surpassing the 168 submitted by former MP James Gray, and 185 submitted by MP Michelle Donelan.

Despite continuing to recover from a serious health condition suffered six months ago, Sarah Gibson MP has used her first ten months in office, writing regularly to the Government, holding them to account on constituent matters and local issues.

Sarah Gibson MP has raised more constituent concerns in this short period than both of her Conservative predecessors—James Gray, who served for 27 years, and Michelle Donelan, who served for nine years.

Sarah Gibson MP said:

“My job is to be the voice of our community in Westminster, and part of that means asking difficult questions, demanding answers, and keeping the pressure on ministers. Despite my own health challenges, the people of our part of Wiltshire sent me to Parliament to stand up for them – and that is exactly what I have been doing every single day.”

She added:

“These are not just numbers. Every one of these questions comes from something residents have raised with me directly – whether it is about farming support, ambulance delays, or protecting local rivers. Our area has been overlooked for far too long, and I am determined to change that.”

In addition to submitting written questions, Sarah Gibson MP serves on the Environmental Audit Committee, takes part in the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme, and sat on the committee for the Employment Rights and PRAM Bill, scrutinising the legislation line by line.
