About Sarah

Sarah Gibson is the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Lyneham and Royal Wootton Bassett, a position she has held since July 2024. She unseated the Conservative incumbent with a majority of 8,138 votes.

After qualifying as an architect, Sarah established a practice in Barcelona before returning to Wiltshire in 2013. In 2014, she co-founded the architectural firm LABOX in Bradford-on-Avon.

In Parliament, Sarah serves as the Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Business, using her experience running her own small business to champion businesses in the constituency and is a member of the Environmental Audit Committee.

Her maiden speech, delivered in September 2024 during the Building Safety and Resilience debate, highlighted her dedication to sustainable development and community well-being.

Sarah's priorities include addressing the cost of living crisis, investing in the NHS and social care, promoting sustainable development, and enhancing community safety. She is particularly focused on environmental concerns, such as reducing sewage overflows into rivers and supporting biodiversity projects like the Avon Project in Chippenham.

Beyond her political and professional endeavours, Gibson is known for her commitment to her local community, leveraging her architectural expertise to advocate for well-planned, sustainable development in Wiltshire.
