Update: Important Statement from Sarah Gibson MP
I hope this message finds you well.
As you will know, over the last 6 months, I have been closely monitored by the fantastic team at the RUH. They have watched my recovery with eagle eyes, and I continue to be amazed by their care and attention.
However, my recovery has proved slower than I anticipated. Following a series of tests, my doctors have discovered that I have developed an auto immune condition. The nature of this condition means I will require a short period of monitored treatment at the hospital.
My doctors have advised me to self-isolate for the duration of my treatment. This will mean I will once again have to reduce my in-person visits and work in Westminster during this period.
I continue to remain fully committed to working on your behalf, albeit virtually, and my office will remain fully operational during my treatment.
Once again, my thanks go to our local NHS services, who are doing an incredible job under immense pressure.
This has been a hard road, but it would have been much harder if it was not for the kindness, patience, and well wishes of so many of you, my office team, friends, family, and of course, my loving husband, David. Thank you, to each and every one of you.
As always, if you need any assistance from me, please do not hesitate to contact me: sarah.gibson.mp@parliament.uk
